Just heard from the Bosnian that her (USAID) team are evacuating. Mobile networks are not working. Nothing directly the British Embassy, but a woffly post on the website and the mobile telephone number of the Duty Officer which is of course not working.
It says they have sent me a letter. A letter in an emergency?
Better start with my emergency packing a bit more seriously.
Tried to contact my British contact in his hotel, but the number he rang me is turned off "for non payment".
