Well we survived a week in Kiev without being thrown to the lions or bamboozled totally by either side. Though there were moments! Now we are safely in complete deadlock until someone makes a decision as to what they want. And it's not just the Ukrainian government that is the problem.
On Wednesday we used the excuse of needing to print some material to go down to the Maidan to see what action there was. Pora were out in force with tents and flags and the Tymoshenko bloc was also ready for action.
But the numbers of people and tents didn't change much when we passed later in the week. So it seemed that this bit of politics is not going to be settled on the streets. It's a shame as students were just getting their exam results, the weather was just fine for standing around on street corners, but of course there are much better things to do, in that case.
Nobody we talked to in Kiev was in favour of Party of the Regions.
