Seems the Brits and the Greeks plan to stay put and don't think Tbilisi will be bombed.
Planes are not taking off from the airport because they are not landing. In normal times, all flights from Western Europe come in the middle of the night and leave within an hour or so. It seems all BMI flights are cancelled for the duration, though a Turkish airlines flight left last night. Maybe the Lufthansa flight will leave as well tonight, if it comes in.
We went out for lunch and swapped evacuation stories. It seems I'm the only one without one. The Brit got evacuated from Sierra Leone. Nothing ever happened to me in Kosovo. I'm feeling definitely one down in the ranking.
Our Greek colleague has been pressed into special duties by his Ambassador. Some bunch of (Greek) Greens are making a tour from the Baltics to the Caucasus and chose this bad moment to arrive in Tbilisi. They tried to get out via Azerbaidjan but one lady didn't have a visa and she was sent back. Now he is trying to get her out again.
Otherwise everything is as normal.
Haven't heard the TV news yet.
Sorry there is not much exciting to report. You can always read the other bits of my blog :)
Thanks for all the kind messages in the comments.
