Copydude is telling us how the Kaliningrad hospitality industry is not quite adjusted from its Soviet style, and has not understood the power of the blog in spreading reputations.
Ditto our Yugoslav hotel. In the interest of improvement, I shall name and shame them. At breakfast I was accused of stealing an apple as I took it out with me. The waiter pointed to the notice telling you not to take out food from the dining room. I assumed this meant they did not want you to take out plates and cutlery. But no, stealing an apple is a crime in the Hotel Majestic.
My colleague who had concealed her peach in her handbag, was rather smug. I have not reported her.
